ABOUT COLETTE
Colette is a Director and Choreographer from San Diego, California. She is currently based in Glasgow, Scotland, and holds an MFA in Classical and Contemporary Text Directing from The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.
She previously worked with a variety of theatre companies around San Diego. She graduated in the Spring of 2018 from the University of California, San Diego with her BA in Theatre Arts and departmental honors for her thesis in directing on Fefu and Her Friends by Maria Irene Fornes. Previously she spent two years training at Marymount Manhattan College in the BFA Acting program, and in 2017 she spent a semester abroad at the University of Kent studying the works and history of Shakespeare.
Her theatre background is diverse. Since 2003, she has worked not only as a director and choreographer, but also as an actor, sound technician, costumer, stage manager and more.
Her mission as a director is to facilitate visceral, thoughtful and shared moments that leverage human experiences to encourage audiences to confront societal issues. She is deeply passionate about using theatre as a catalyst for both thought and change.
